What are Strategy Games?
The first thing that might come to mind is Stratego? And you would be right, it is indeed an example of a strategy game.
Strategy games force players to devise and apply different strategies to defeat their opponent(s). They are often abstract games, without a theme.
What is the difference between tactics and strategy?
Strategy mainly concerns the goal; what do you ultimately want to achieve? It involves thinking further ahead. Tactics are what you apply (immediately/in the short term) to achieve this goal and make your strategy work!
